do i need an assessment?yes an evaluation will be needed to move forward with therapy after their initial screening. the evaluation ensures quality of services and thorough review of clients needs. we do accept evaluations done elsewhere if they have been done within the last 12 months.

how much do services cost?your initial consult is always free. our session fee is $110. the fee for an evaluation is $220. If you have any questions about the fees please reach out to us by emailing info@theirtherapy.com

do you or your child need speech/language therapy?the decision to enter into speech-language therapy involves many different factors. Sometimes those are dictated by educational/social/health needs. voice training provided by an SLP can help you accomplish better vocal performance by learning how to avoid harming your voice and achieving the voice qualities you want.

where will therapy sessions take place?we currently offer therapy services in office, or online. our therapist will work with you to figure out the best option for your needs.

do you take insurance?we are an in-network provider with BlueCross Blue Shield of Tennessee including BlueCare and TennCare Select. we are an out-of-network provider for all other insurance companies and do not bill those insurance companies for our services, however a superbill can be provided to you that you can submit to receive reimbursement from your insurance company. you would need to check with your health insurance provider as benefits vary. **tutoring services are typically private pay/self-pay. please contact info@theirtherapy.com or call 615-669-0761 for more information about pricing or a good faith estimate of our services. you may qualify for help paying for a variety of different services through tennessee's katie beckett program.

what is gender affirming voice training?vocal training focusing on voice health, reducing possible related dysphoria, and learning proper techniques to achieve your desired voice.

what is language therapy?language therapy focuses on expressive language (the ability to use language), and receptive language (the ability to understand language). It may work on listening skills, the ability to follow verbal directions, understanding spoken language, social communication disorders, written language, and reading comprehension.

what is speech therapy?speech therapy specifically focuses on how individual sounds are produced during speech. many people have had or need speech therapy services at some point in their childhood. adults with brain injuries could also require speech services.
